solar anger

Another late start fer another day. Blame the weight-lifting, the online chatting and Advance Wars. Betty and I both set the meeting time one hour later... She didn't get up on time either, lucky me. =) Brunch at 2pm was chocolate and peanut butter, which surprisingly got me in sleepy mode fer the entire day. Fortunately, I'd picked out what to wear the night before since I knew I'd be a bitch at it the next day. Maybe it's a little too much information, but I should confess to the souls out there who've waited fer me long enough before that whenever I'm late, it's because I spend alot of time staring at my wardrobe in my underwear. Hehe.

Almost melted down on the way to the station. The sun was a killer. Heck, it's always been in Singapore, a known fact that our temperature is so high due to heat bouncing off our tar, and we have alot of tar. Tried to concentrate on The All American Rejects while I was walking under the raised railways, which helped abit. I'm no biologist but I think sweating is partially a mental thing. So yup. Yay fer a seat. Mondays mean spacious trains. Spent most of the trip to the interchange witnessing some guy train his Togepi on his phone. Yes. Sony Ericsson phones have Pokémon... I was pretty impressed. After all, you'd need quite a bit of phone memory to install an RPG. Switched to the purple line after alighting at Outram. I love the purple line. The train seems more... Comfy. =P Then made it on time. Being punctual made me smile. I was there at 4 sharp. Not a second earlier nor later. How often does that happen? Anyway, I have to whine about the Chinatown MRT Station's restroom. It's disgusting. Even fer normal toilet standards. I thought train stations were always squeaky clean despite the lack of rubbish bins, which have been replaced by penalties on littering. Oh well.

Yet another surprised moment fer me. BaoEn, no offense on yer usual attire but you actually looked girly today. And that's saying somethin' alright? =D Strolled along the pavement on heritage shops filled with white tourists till we arrived at Ann Siang Hill, a side of Singapore that I have never seen before. Shops selling unique furniture and clothing. However, with unique pricings as well. Still, some of it'll be the kinda stuff I'd get fer my dream bachelor pad. The kinky briefs will not be included, in case you're wondering, Betty. Considering the handful of shops that we dropped into, it was a really long period of time spent there. Guess it's because of the many tiny little special products that we were exploring. I'd post pictures but I forgot to put my memory card back into the N70 after transferring my camwhoring photos to the computer.

Time fer a more familiar place. Decided to pass Kinokuniya(goodness, they manganized the Bible) to renew my membership as well as get the new volume of Runaways. The person who asked me out spent most of the time reading her magazine so I had to use my time by efficiently feeding my eyes with plenty of sugar while waiting fer my new card. Misplaced the receipt due to distraction, found it on the floor few aisles back, phew. Heeren was up next since the Ma'am kept bugging me to choose something of my liking fer her to buy as a present. I still do not know why there was a need fer one but since she insisted, I brought her to the Print Club. I thought it'd be a fun momento to keep after she leaves the country, too bad she thought otherwise. Oh well again... After browsing enough novelty items, stopped at MidPoint to get new dice fer D&D. No sessions were being held at Paradigm Infinitum then so I assume that was the reason BaoEn didn't get scared of those hardcore geeks. Agreed on Gelaré fer dinner after. Bumped into Willard on the way to Plaza Singapura. Didn't know he was a fan of Transformers... Saw him carry two huge plastic bags of'em.

Following some red wine beef, mushroom cream linguine, club sandwiches and a sinful serving of cocoa was the movie Knocked Up. Dunno why but the main character really, really reminded me of Kevin Tessensohn. Could be the hair... Could be the attitude. Could be the hobbies. Haha. And a specific character triggered a reminder to take my shaver back from camp. My stubble has turned into a slight undergrowth. But Ms. Toh focused more on my eyelashes. I don't think they're that long. Hmmm. Bitched about camp before seeing her off the bus. Turned out my last one fer me was half an hour earlier than hers. Walked back to CentrePoint to take a taxi via highway to home.

Which damn as hell marks the end of the day. Sounds like an eventful Monday. I think it's because I repeat words like "but", "so" and "could" many times. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it, though.

PS: Mom's soup's now cold. I'll have to heat it up in the morning since it's another weekday off, thanks, CheeWee. Fer now, gotta get these contacts out before they stick to my cornea.

not that i mind

Donnie Yen is one mad dog. Very aggressive when it comes to the art of fighting. Now an Asian action hero icon, I say. FlashPoint's just a beat'em up movie though, with that Hong Kong police and thief flavour. Whatever Boon wanted to watch... His idol anyway. Might as well use the opportunity to fast forward the day. Town gets really boring when you're almost roaming about every other day. Oh by the way, guys, got yer Stud Cards already... Made it in time to meet the family fer a drive to dinner, dropping Kevin off along the way to catch a cab back to camp. What a way to burn the weekend, with matadors and M203s.

Thank goodness cousin Jovy was there. At least someone of my age group to talk to, about random stuff ranging from illegal pets to sexual fetishes. Plans fer vodka consumption got deflated as we ended up "assigned" to babysitting the kids at the bowling alley over at East Coast. I'm surprised they had so much energy. Maybe it was just the coffee-marinated pork working. Loitered around while waiting fer our lane. Playgrounds, fussball and UFO machines. Soft toys, slurpees and lollipops. People were staring at us like we were some weird and very very young family. Well, technically, they would be right but it was embarrassing. When we were done, the little ones were sent back before me... Thankfully, with the caffeine all outta their system or we'd have to fix a date to soundproof all our cars for the screaming. =P

A rather fun rated-PG Saturnight.

PS: I could've been drunk now. T_T

back to tight tees and sweatbands

Know it's an old game but I'm pretty addicted to Advance Wars: Dual Strike now. That was one tough mission. Time to get the eyes off the bright dual screens and onto the big wide one.

Was out fer lunch, Burger King, as usual. No chic cashiers today, disappointingly. The Man then dropped by my pad to burn some videos and shit. Wasn't fer long, we were in the house only fer the time it took me to organise my new Rihanna albums and catch Blood+'s last episode. We split about 2 hours later and I went to meet Jess fer dinner. More like my dinner. -_- My light dinner. Resistance against the Spicy Chilli Dog is futile. Got my drink on the way into the theatre. A large iced lemon tea. I prefer to refer it as the legendary bladder buster. I don't understand why so many S'poreans make such harsh critisism on stuff like movies, I supposed they all wanna sound all high and mighty on professionalism in the media. Which, by the way, is probably one of the main factors affecting our people's reputation on the social level. I thought Vacancy was not bad at all. I concentrated more on the relationship between Luke Wilson's and Kate Beckinsale's characters, being such a fragile couple, ended up gluing back together due to a life-threatening occurance, than on the fact that there are so many perverted serial killer groups out there in the world who don't bother to even cover their sorry asses properly. Then again, I thought it was quite realistic. Not every antagonist of a horror film has to portray the "invincible" look.

I should write fer Life!. =P

Loitering in spirals downward of Plaza Singapura, I spotted a cool 'Stud Club Longstanding Member' card going fer $5.90 each at this novelty shop, where I always happen NOT to notice what it's called, Kev didn't mind the idea of getting those. The rest didn't reply though. Oh well, I'll be there again tomorrow if they happen to make up their minds.

Also, saw Trevor. Short as ever... Hahaha.

Summore food along the way. Burger King again. Full of carbo-guilt. My eyes were dodging all across the outlet and I ended up reading the customer service message they had on the wall, which I'm sure if Varian reads, will burst out laughing and start with all the "blue-blooded" jokes. Go check it out, kill yer curiosity. -_-

zzzzoned

We hung out at Vivo yesterday. First time outdoors with the D&D gang.

Bumped into Amber who works at the cinema now. Thanks fer the popcorn and "free show", babe. And that was a hell lot of cheese on my sausage. Heh. Okaaay. Black Sheep was ultimately hilarious. I guess we all shouldn't be so mean as to laugh at other people's work... Or could it be that they wanted us too? B-rated movies are like that, in a way. Well, one thing that really surprised me is that no dog died in this film. And now onto a totally irrelevant namesake of a topic, SuperDog wasn't exactly outstanding. I thought it was the Carl's Jr. of sausages, wrong... The Spicy Chilli Dog over at MOS Burger's much nicer. Hmmm. Enough about weiners.

Slept fer almost the entire day... Went out with the intent of getting 2 tanks from NUM. They only had the red Singapore one in medium though. Disappointing. At least I was directed to the female changing area due to lack of room in the male section. Sure is hard to judge the clothes you try on when you've got bikinis hanging by yer sides. Oh well. Shall check out the other branches fer the white one by Friday. By the way, I dunno if it's a good or a bad thing to say that I looked more like a sales guy than a customer in New Urban Male.

starting sunday

Dimsum lunch over at Warren Country Club wasn't exactly fantastic. I've had better, of course. Bah, at least it's a fresh change, to eat somewhere that we hardly frequent.

Now, I'm back home again, absorbing the humidity. Black Sheep starts at 5, meeting the guys in 15 minutes at the train station. And here I am, still staring at my new MySpace profile. So glad I made my first friend on the site.

A 30 year old Polish woman. Hi, Isabella. =)

boom boom boom boom

Finally, the last preview's over. Quite an eventful day. Plenty of chics around the area. Considering the fact that my services were not needed fer most of the day, I took the liberty and went eye candy spotting. The Indian chic working in the DC shop was pretty hot.

Caught The Simpsons Movie today to kill time. It was just fulla jokes every few seconds. Poking fun at basically any celebrity, any stereotype and even the people who paid to watch this film. One thing's fer sure, you'll exit the theatre singing to "Spider-Pig".

Bowling was out of the question due to time shortage, made it back in time fer the fireworks. Ahh, the fireworks. For that span of 15 minutes, everyone's problems seemed to have went out with the display. It's just such a miraculous invention. Simple explosives fer major amusement. You feel love all around.

-sigh- I want that.

the haunting

Friggin' agency called again. Third time, dammit. I think they have men in black suits and slick shades with white curly wired ear-pieces spying on me from every junction along the streets.

Heart.

Girl, either your father has been watching too much anime while yer mom was in labour or you're... One of "them". I think I'll go with the latter.

Oh, come on, guys. You know what I mean. Lol.

chicken in a biscuit

I guess you could say it's Murphy's Law. You decide to stay in and they give you an early time-off from work. Rained. Had some tidbits under the shelter of the e-mart while waiting fer the weather to subside.

Practically spent the rest of the day at home watching anime, Blood+(omg I'm addicted, why is it only 50 episodes long??? And they don't censor violence!), to be more specific, other than resuming my download on Mika's debut album. Initially, I was pretty annoyed with his falsetto ways, radio has a way of influencing your taste in music. Our forefathers sure did right, using the media fer propaganda. Gonna book back in tonight, my procrastination has cornered me into waking up earlier than usual for tomorrow morning to settle some administration, hopefully, before the buses to Marina arrive. It's gonna be a crazy day. Not forgetting Saturday... Dan The Man'll be there too. Hope our supper plans don't get ruined. Heck, this is the last preview before the actual show. I had better leave some memory space in my phone to record the entire fireworks display. If my calculation skills still serve me effectively, I've seen it about 4 times already. Hmmm, that's probably enough to compensate the tax increase. Of course, there's not much pain in the heart fer that... I can feel it. It draws closer. My ORD date. Like a cheap player in a fighting game, I hide in the corner and wait for the last second to end. Oh my beautiful long hair, how I yearn fer you to be reborn(not rebond) onto my scalp.

-ahem- Short term goal: to catch Black Sheep/The Simpsons on Sunday.

I can't wait... Fer the weekend to begin...

PS: Okay, YiQiang. Carrying an umbrella doesn't make you look gay. Not carrying an umbrella because you think you're manly enough to walk in a slight drizzle then shovel into my dry space makes you pretty gay. Commenting against it and then doing otherwise makes you hypocritically ultra gay. But you have Serene... That's what you're gonna say. Right? =D

wheels are a bitch

Didn't stay in again today. It's really taking a toll on my sleeping hours. A heavy price. Shall do packing later, rushing to pack in the wee hours in the morning only means that I've gotta travel all the way back home from camp again. Anyway, the parents wanted to have dinner together this evening. Don't intend to book out till Friday though. Maju Camp's got a pretty nice feel to it at night, especially when I'm running. Besides, my roomie's starting to get lonely. Lol. =x Which reminds me, I think I'll be shifting the mirror outta the bunk tomorrow. Don't believe it this fengshui mumbo-jumbo but I don't wanna hear anything disturbing from YiQiang. I think the room's pretty acceptable. Most visitors love to bits, apparently. Come on, the windows have layers of dust, the paint is all chipped and we have a small rope across as a makeshift laundry line. Okay, I guess you could say it's like in those movies, where they display rundown apartments to make it seem more realistic.

Maaan, I just hate it when I download albums and I don't get the right edition. Like to have one or two songs missing from'em. And it's just gonna be a peeve to download the missing ones separately because the quality just wouldn't be the same. And I'm damn anal when it comes to my iPod.

Okay, back to watching Blood+. =)

PS: Argh, PSP Slim is out. And my father just got back from Japan with the original model last week. Heck, it's not even mine but don't ya just feel that it's a little of a waste...?

fond and familiar

I feel good. Hugs feel good. Happy Birthday, Mommy.

Okay, what wet weather we've all been having, hmmm? Met Boon, EngChye and Mong today. It's been ages since I've seen these guys. Pool was slow and rusty but good on the whole. I won, of course. An impromptu plan to catch a movie followed. We were late because of dinner.

Invisible Target. It's waaay better than Dragon Tiger Gate.

Thanks fer the ride back, Melvin. Yes, we should all drink together again sometime soon.

PS: Hmmm, my spider sense is tingling. I expect trouble at camp in the morning. =(

the fatrix

The paint is all peeled. Windows so dusty, the glass looks frosted. No one bothers. Grey clouds engulf the sun, soaking the air with depressing over-hydration. The fiery will instilled in him is now slowly deteriorating. Not a soul. He observes them. Among the warm metallic pillars, they loathe. Across the wet tar floor, they drag. Under the humid shade, they wait... Waiting for it to end. The time. Scorning at their sloth, he refuses to lend a hand. Comments. Not all ears, however, our hero is. Contemplation crosses his mind, on whether or not to save the few who fell into the pits of slavery. Kindhearted assistance has been taken for granted, offerings turned into demands. The captives' eyes still shine. Have they been blinded by an illusion of acceptance through contribution? Have they not seen a life more fortunate than this? Pity.

It's coming. The moment. Now, he is alone. He thinks to himself, seeing how that he's presently the odd one out. Could the saying be true? That if all you have is opposition, you must be at fault? Trying to reason. Trying to rationalise. He does so as his heart and mind are fair.

Evaluated. At times, his reflection portrays a stubborn boy. At times, The One to open their eyes once again.

Looking upon the dilatory beings approaching him with sudden hostility, he knows it's too late. Pun intended. Letting out a chuckle at the thought while they label their witness as someone... Bad. Judgement. Something that miraculously spurs effort. Effort to execute another psychological attack.

His fiery will.

It bursts and burns the contamination, like fuel to a flame. It gets colder though. Freezing him faster than he can sublime their contact. Being overcome, this protagonist would rather defect himself than convert to their cause. Would it have been so hard as to just associate? The fallen ones compell. Once again, his principles reject.

The moment is near. Patience. It will all soon be over. Soon, these dread-possessing entities will be rid.

'nuff said

Here they are.

My new idols.

late nights lately

Last week's session at Greg's was pretty fun. And by fun I meant alot of single-guy humour. Thanks to Justin(Master Of Manipulation) and Khairul(who gets edgy over chicken foldovers and politics), Mika's Love Today has been stuck in my head fer the entire morning. But nothing like a little movie can't fix.

Harry-harry-harry-harry...

HARRY-Harry-harry-harry...

HARRYYYYY.

POTTERRRRR.

Okay. Wasting postage space. Ahem. Is it the trend nowadays to have movie heroes all emo and angsty? Funny how that makes films on the neverending battle between good and evil more mature. Fans will definitely have to get a change of undies after witness The Order dishing it out on The Deatheaters, or He Who Shall Not Be Named VS Headmaster Of Hogwarts. End of review. Some may call it spoilers. Sue me.

Well, finally got my NikeSlat running footwear from Stadium at Takashimaya. Little time I put aside to shop while waiting fer Jess to knock off. I wonder if it's because I frequent Ngee Ann City or the clothes are starting to get stale on style. So much fer having an end season sale too... All selected items had a really bad combo of colours and designs. Not exactly arty. Not exactly street. Not exactly me. Fuckin' sound like a fag. Bad enough already having everyone think the photos of my longer-haired self were pictures of some girl.

Hmmm, Daddy should be back from Japan by now. And I have less than 5 hours of sleep ahead of me, again. No wonder I'm such a sleepyhead. A friggin' Shikamaru fer that matter. Or not, I'm not that cool. =/

PS: I think I've recently been possessed by an entity of civilianship. I'm starting to dislike working in the ways of militarism. Or it could just be the "colleagues". Besides, it's starting to feel like my services are no longer needed.

midweek mending

Good start to the day. Sure feels great working out to Benny Benassi. But I don't think it's gonna be healthy to keep it a routine. Can't stop shakin' my ass to the bass during heavy lifting. The balance just isn't there... Hmmm. Daddy went fer his check-up again this afternoon. However, I didn't join the 'rents fer lunch because it's my off day and I wanted to take it slow. Left the house at 1 due to rain. I swear, Singapore's weather is purely fucked up. What's next? Rainbow storms?

Sportslink at EastPoint just didn't sell a large variety of Nike shoes. Let alone running shoes. Why Nike? I've already got the singlet and shorts to go along, might as well get the footwear. Call me a brandwhore or whatnot, I already own a 300 dollar Adidas track suit. It was fer CNY, coupla years back. =P Challenger didn't exactly provide the laptop casing I was looking for, too... So, I decided to head to Tampines since Simei didn't have a Miss Singapore World show on today. Also not enough reason to head to town. Who knew World Of Sports at TM was closed fer renovation(or was it Royal Sporting House? Whatever.)... Started to crave fer some KFC, bought a 3-piece meal, with sides all upsized to large, in which I did not finish, shamefully(even the Pepsi). The meal, together with a visit to the arcade(Time Crisis 4 really works the shoulder muscles) and Isetan(where I learnt how shitty I looked in boardshorts) took up quite a bit of my time though, which was my main purpose, to elude the thought of time wastage on travel from my mind. Kev crossed my mind. SMSed him and we got our game stuff. Probably the most productive time of the day besides my purchase of 10 bucks worth of stationary(for future sketches that will be scanned and finished for
my DeviantArt gallery) from Popular plus a grey top with imprinted wings from Fox Men. Yes. I wear grey... Finally, I got the R4 game card fer my DS, as well as a Super Card to play GBA games on my Lite console. The old adaptor Greg sold me just couldn't play Pokemon Diamond. And what is a Nintendo system without Pokemon, right? Pfft. =\

That pretty much ends my journal of pay day. Dropped by Kev's place to assist him in applying his screen protectors. Apparently, it's a very professional task. Especially, if you're doing it on a dusty table.

See? I know how to use my time. At least I'm not as bored as this guy.

Okay, to be fair, sometimes boredom gives birth to cool things.

such a tease

That's life, I guess. To throw you a free laptop to play with but you haven't got the time due to camp stuff. Certain individuals would gladly disagree and state my lack of contribution, you know what, I don't care anymore... Put you in a lovely neighbourhood with a lovely neighbour who's been dying to see you(and vice versa;'D) but can't thanks to clash of the schedules. Boy, that was a tongue-twister. Gives you guard duty on a Friday night at the Marina Promenade with permitted breaks at Carl's Jr, where they play love songs all night. Raises yer hopes on the female marshallers assisting our company, only to receive Plain Janes in the way. Not evil, just honest. Right, YQ? Then sits you down at the Grand Stand to enjoy fireworks, all alone. And apparently, not many people understand what I mean when I say the word, "alone". Not gonna elaborate. -_-

But oh, caught Die Hard 4.0 with Dhaniah, after dinner, earlier this evening. That oughtta break the monotonous momentum of my mellow matters. Mmmm. Thanks fer accompanying me... Can't stop that thought that's been running through my head over and over again though, of how much a nutcase Bruce Willis is. Some may be surprised that I didn't get to see the first three installments. Didn't expect such crazy-ass action from the movie. No. "Crazy" is an understatement. Someone, find me an exaggeratingly bombastic word.

Things looked up on the way home, my music discussion with Dhaniah(Staaaarlight, I will be chasing the staaaarlight...) was interrupted upon news from Chuannie that I'm off fer Wednesday. Woot. Gotta make plans, ain't gonna be another CrunchyRoll day. =P

PS: Jess, if you're reading this, we have got to go fer a nice dinner, since you mentioned that you owe me a meal. Haha. Whatever the reason. Should look out fer a nice venue too. I've come to realise that it's not often we can meet. And if something suddenly pops up on that day to force cancellation of the date, I promise that I will punch myself. When nobody is around, of course.

a hard day's night

Would be the perfect song to play right now...

PS: This is not a writer's block.

whoa

Awesome flick. Crazy action. I dunno what I'd do if I was caught smack in the middle of an Autobot/Decepticon battle.

Probably would die.

Anyway, this marks the first night with me using my new laptop. Been busy up till now so I finally got to touch this baby. It's still fresh so it performs better than the PC. Won't be using this fer downloads...

Note to self: Transfer doodles and lyrics here.

simulated

The parade was HAPPENIN'. Awesome but cocky apaches drifting in the skies and assault boats dragging helium-based luminous jellyfish. Among other things. I'm still quite lethargic, I know all I did was shoot photos yesterday plus help out a bit on the rubbish disposal but I'm still tired. Drop dead upon sight of my bed last night and stayed in the exact same position till morning.

I'd still be sleeping if I needn't prepare fer lunch before Transformers.

PS: Thank the awesomely burning weather. It's like that old children's story of the sun and the cloud betting on who could get that man's coat off him. Now, girls galore are respecting Mr Big Burning Ball and dressing up all so yummiliciously.

And here's a random 4 second video of a dramatic prairie dog.

just thought that i should add that

Your typing sucks, Betty.

decepticons at the promenade

I figured there's not much of a point, to a certain extend, to help out at work as much as possible anymore. In the end, you're still gonna get arrowed with the dirtiest job, like you haven't already been doing enough... Never exactly revealed my concerns, I'm not THAT straightforward, plus I just take things in the face. Don't care if you thought that I was always good, always bad, or always ugly. Honestly, I could relate to that Linkin Park song. So much fer being a nice guy, be it physically or administratively, people still see you as some typical NSF. So far I've done nothing but try and be a good person, not for political reasons, I just thought it'd be "good for the heart". -sigh- Maybe it's my luck balance. I probably used it all up at my TP Basic Theory Test. Hey, I kinda think of it as a pretty big deal, 'kay... Screw it. I had a happy entry all planned out but the mood's already dead. Hope tomorrow promises one helluva parade.

PS: Belated wishes to BaoEn's 20th although I was there on her birthday... You could have told us about your frequency at Botak Jones. Well, I didn't exactly tell you this but I was gonna give you a present. However, given the time... Ya know. Hell, you can ask me for... ANYTHING. Seriously. Come up to me when you've got somethin' in mind you're cravin' fer. You're leaving soon. You deserve something special. And I feel like I owe you one, anyway. =)

OMG I'M SOOO LOOSE. LOL.

Actually, no. I'm just the kinda person that would die if my birthday had setbacks.

after a run

The Magic 8 Ball so spurred me on to accomplish 3 rounds today. Too bad my stamina disagreed. Managed one lap around the neighbourhood. Phew. Time fer some weights.

PS: Time is of the essence. My spider sense is telling me that I won't be doing any more body exercises this week. Gotta grasp the moment. -huff huff- Mizuno Run's coming... Gotta... -huff huff-

Mind off the strain. -huff- Mind off the strain.

Dinner at Vivo tonight. Grandma's birthday.

Mind off the strain.

-wheeze-

go back to tampines ya bitches

Bumped into Khai on the way back from an ultra-lethargic day at Maju Camp. You people going to spectate the parade had better appreciate the freebies. F'ckin' S'poreans. Yeah, as I was saying, saw him at the train station where he, I assume, forgot to introduce me to his lovely date. I forgive you, friend. I was tired anyway. Thank me fer saving you face by not lingering around like a Boon. Lol.

Dinner at BK's was good. It's always good with a Mushroom Swiss. Or a cute cashier. Something about fast food uniforms... You either look like shit, or damn hot. Score, caught her staring. Yeah so I was having a nice meal when this buncha mini-bengs started a ruckus a table in front of me. I started shaking my right leg. There're only two instances I'd shake my right leg: (i.)I'm playing a beat in my head and (ii.)I'm beating people up in my head... Got the hell out after my last sip of barley because the dude to my left felt like he'd get to flattening them before I did.

I simply despise punks like these who treat Simei like their 'hood. It's not theirs. It's mine. Belongs to preppy uptown boys, not lowly rowdy posers. Pfft.

what's happenin'

Caught Black Snake Moan earlier this evening. I find it a pretty cool movie, spreading morals through the use of immorality in the film. A must watch for people who love plotty movies.

Hmmm. Was coming up with cool names that have a ring to them for my [SLUG-RAID] characters. Like every fighting character, their names must have some link to a word. I browsed the list of minerals on Wikipedia for Kev's alter-ego. CAME across something called cummingtonite.

COME on. You know you want to. Click it. Haha. Hey, the only thing funny about the substance is the name. Go read up.

PS: No, Cummingtonite is not gonna be a character name. I'm not doing English hentai.

i heart u

Was thinking up some gay-ass mushy poem, to hell with that. It may not have been a peaceful one, but I thought we had a pretty decent meal together as a family.

Hope you appreciated the presence of everyone at dinner. Just so you know, we're there with you not just fer today but everyday.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy.

penny to the hypocrite

It will always remain a mystery to me, why people tend to scorn or insult. They look down on people are "ugly" or "weird". Maybe it's like that phrase, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Maybe it's like that song, "High School Never Ends". Everyone's different, another way of saying no one is... So not true. That's why there're genres. That's why there're cliques. There's no one standard style. I guess that's what makes the society "colourful". That's what makes the society full of friction, I guess. So many years. So many disputes. Civil wars are now cold ones. Stay out of my way, I'll do the same. There's still not much of a difference if you look at it... Like parents telling kids to stop fighting, but they still kick each other's shins under the table. Backstabbing or just plain coded conversations, don't you find it childish? They assume you have to pick a side. I witness this everyday. Something has to be done. Something... Pfft. So political. So melodramatic.

Screw that. Had some crabs for dinner. Yummy dead crustaceans. Food has a way of getting people to forget problems.

PS: Okay okay. I'll put up some sketches on my DeviantArt gallery soon.

dndbbq16062007

Had a bbq over at Greg's with the gang before the session. And initial lunch that turned into dinner due to unforeseen rain, among other reasons. Heh. Turnout: full. Who knew a buncha champion eaters would be outdone by mere potatoes, corn, chips, beef and chicken. It has to be the spinach rice and overly salted butternut. Thanks fer the salt, Khai. Haha.

On the whole, one of the better meals I had this week, or rather this month, if not this year. Colourful feast = happy stomach.

Alrighty, just had breakfast not long ago... Time to wash up, dinner's on its way. -yawn-

PS: Shall add another post or two later tonight.

fantastic

Silver Surfer is so cool. Obviously, I already knew that before the movie. But the film definitely brought him up to the higher levels of cosmic awesomeness. So much so that the thought of it almost made me forget how much I sucked at bowling today, acting the friggin' fool. It's definitely been a while. My right forearm's feeling faintly numb. Okay, back onto the review. Powerful movie. So powerful, there was a temporary blackout at the mall. Ha. How realistic(only people who've caught the flick'll get this joke, and I'm not one to do spoilers). Annoying that it happened at "the biggest turn of events" scene, though.

Anyway, I know some of you are just waiting for me to post the pictures of the toy museum at Rowell Road. So here they are:

*ShangHai dolls. Come to think of it, they look a hell lot less freaky than the ones we currently have in this present era.

*Many, many useless flat plastic animals. I remember using these to play "safari".

*These are definitely way older than me.

*SHAZAM!

*One'a those battery-operated playthings you just dunwanna turn on and leave running in the middle of the living room all night.

*Hellboy, Superboy, The Avengers, etc.

*How nostalgic...

*Ah, every little boy's best friend.

*Not exactly grand, but one of those I just had to have a shot taken of... A toy piano, come on, sweet, right? Plus it's all carved from wood, including the keys.

*If you've never seen this before, you definitely have some lost childhood.

*Captehs. Cool.

*Old school radio.

*Blow-up doll. ~snigger~

Got magnets from the place, they're amusing, no matter what you might say. We initially dropped by too late so we hung out at the souvenir store fer a good half hour before pleading with the owner to let us browse a bit. Would've taken more pictures but there's not much I can do with a camera phone(then again, if I shot the area from every angle, 'd'be ruining business fer'em, right?). I must say, still a pretty cool day, considering catching up with Long Lost Dhaniah and buying a cockbag. It's a man-bag from Le Coq Sportif but I prefer calling it my "cockbag". Hehe. =) Mom calls it the Chicken Brand, by the way.

I'm so happy. Not because of retail therapy. It's just... I dunno, I see everything with a pink glittery background now. Tralalalala~

PS: Oh my neighbour, what a special night. We finally meet although a short while. Haha. See ya 'round. =P

yes i read the brochure

My old router died. So my parents and I bought a new one along with an upgraded plan promoting a free Lenovo laptop integrated with a 1.3 megapixelled webcam on the 13.1-inch widescreen, a standard 512MB RAM, 120GB HDD, not forgetting the Intel Core Duo Processor T2350(1.86GHz, 2MB L2 Cache). Which will be MINE. Muahaha. Hmmm, I'm kinda gonna use it fer work anyway. School's starting again soon. I need something to do my projects on. Grrr, programming. Anyway, the Mio router was a pain installing. But after one sweaty night, I managed to pull it off. Although my connection isn't exactly stable. Wonder what's wrong now...

So, I signed up for
DeviantArt, finally. The guys have been telling me to get an account since I love manganizing everything. Guess I'll just scan my doodles fer now. If I'm not too lazy, ya peeps might be able to have a sneak at my edits by the end of the week. Haha, one step closer to completion of [SLUG-RAID]'s character design!

Alright, signing off. Nature calls. And so does the Brotherhood of Nod.

PS: And thanks to Willard fer showing me this violin-playing YouTuber. She's hot.

nooo way

So... Judging from the results, I can safely[if you can call it that] assume that after enlisting with the men in green, I've slowly converted into a bloody weird closet himbo.

Your IQ Is 115

Your Logical Intelligence is Below Average

Your Verbal Intelligence is Exceptional

Your Mathematical Intelligence is Genius

Your General Knowledge is Above Average

WHY IS MY LOGICAL INTELLIGENCE BELOW AVERAGE??? I must be getting outta hand in the "full-of-shit" department.

Seriously am losing tone in more ways than one. -sob-

venting

Sometimes I just wish fer a world filled with happy people who play Elite Beat Agents together.

Sometimes I just wish fer a world rid of motherfuckers who do not allow others the right of way while boarding public transport.

Sometimes I just wish fer a world where everyone is goodlooking.

Sometimes I just wish fer a world of contented individuals.

Sometimes I just wish fer a world where 16-hit combos and flame-emitting hands are not fiction.

Then I would erase the Earth's blemishes.

Then I would kill them all.

its-a me

It has come to my attention that not many friends read my blog. Perhaps it needs advertising. Or not. I'm not exactly craving limelight. Limelight. If you can call it that.

The modelling agency called again. I don't remember their company name. I've received numerous opinions on this matter. My final decision will be to check the place out and boot the deal if it sucks.

That took me a minute of thought. I spent the rest of the day playing New Super Mario Bros.

uncle kong wants you

This was done because I was told to.

But I have to say I kinda enjoyed doing it... Although I can clearly see now why I'm still single.

10 Things A Girl Can Do To Get [my name here] Eating Out Of Your Palm:

i.) Dark-framed glass and that "I Like Boys But I Love Shopping" t-shirt makes you hot.

ii.) Not afraid to drink. Obviously, not like how dear Ms. Erdiana used to though... -_-

iii.) Outstanding hairdo. Just know that if you're rebonded, you're most likely not my type.

iv.) Hmmx.. iF yOu TyPe LyK dAt DeN oBvIoUsLy CaNnOt MaKe It BaHzZ =P lOlX!!!11

v.) Neither smoking nor tattoos will work.

vi.) My mom's gotta be cool with her. T_T

vii.) Bring me around once in a while, it's not a male prerogative... And so is paying fer meals. =)

viii.) Never afraid to openly flirt with others.

ix.) Won't say "yes" so as not to upset me.

x.) Don't wait fer me to call. Just call.

PS: In relation to number 3, it had nothing to do with that girl with the shaved head at the station the other day. Just so you know, Boon. But she was seriously cute.

rid that booger

Road to recovery from flu sure is long. At least the fever and gastric problems are gone. Guess it's gonna be a while before I get hooked on milk and chilli again.

SNIFF.

Shall go for a run tomorrow with my nose. Haha. Ha. Ah.

Lame pun.

sweating in civis

Outcamp run at the Marina Promenade yesterday. Was pretty good, considering my recent lack of training... It was also the first time I brought my camp bag all over town. Crazy.

Had claypot chicken rice. Went "shopping" with BaoEn. Only got one Nike singlet, damn. Got Japanese ice cream. Green tea with red bean and banana chocolate. Shall try sesame next time, although it looked like volcanic mud.

EngChye dropped by after getting comics. He accidentally found my NFS Most Wanted, yay. But the computer gave problems. Also killed the whole night trying to burn a DVD. =( Hmmm, I'll try again later before The Session.

Mom's the word. She's a superwoman. You can never hide your alcohol from her. Can never hide your stained clothes from her.

And can never hide "your habit of gambling that you've already stopped for a long time already because you've learnt your lesson after losing 5K months ago but it doesn't really matter because she'll still nag outta concern because she just found out about it after checking my account" from her.

seeing double

Back home from a long and expensive taxi ride. Believe it or not, I was at Double O two nights in a row.

It all began on the Friday morning at Maju Camp, a bunch of us shifting empty containers to get ready for National Day preparations. Plans were made to party, after all it has been quite a while since we've actually let loose... Figuritively. Anyway, I can't really remember what kept me up after the half day off. With my eyes practically open till 10pm. I was kinda sleepy by the time I arrived at Orchard to meet the guys. Then we took a bus down to my presently favourite club. There's just something about it... It's my kinda people? I dunno. The music was awesome. Is awesome. Chics are delicious too. Hot rubbin'. Gotta luv da hot rubbin'... Heh. Obviously, the most fun part about clubbing is when you're hanging on that thin line between being very high and drunk goner. Everything then just seems beautiful[just so you know, the chics were already beautiful before we even started drinking]. Of course, everyone knows when to call it a night. The signs come up in yer face. Like when fights are spurred and grinders start sleeping on you.

Ah, I meant to head downtown to get a present fer Mommy, definitely did not expect to sleep in until 6pm. Had dinner for breakfast before heading out to meet The Man. Original plan: Zouk. You people still don't believe I've never been there, do you? That aside, I was still in that hangover phase. Had some cola to refresh while Mr. Chye made his calls. Long queue. Yes. Still reminiscing about the dancing. Strong urge. Thus back at Double O. Chilled a little, passively smoking at the exit. Hmmm, crowd's kinda small. Bak Kut Teh. I'm a glutton. People magically turned up after supper.

.....

Ayaaaah. On the whole, I just love Double O lah. I know I'm gonna wake up after sunrise and read this again to find that nothing special has been noted down... Dry whiskey plus vodka mixes make me happy.

update

Yes. I have been spending alot of time on the Diamond Version.

Hmmm, always happens. I'm indoors for every long weekend. What a waste of time. Hopefully, I can do something more productive while I'm out tomorrow.

PS: Drinking in the Specialists' Mess always ends fun. =p

bleah

The meeting back in camp was practically a waste of time as I see it. Plus, certain appointment holders failed to show up. -ahem-

At least I'm back at home now, trying to accomplish a fair share of exercise I can possibly carry out in less then an hour before dressing up to spectate The Phantom Of The Opera... Long weekends without plans, nothing to do but eat. Holy crap, my head seriously hurts. Probably will go see a doctor after guard duty.

Yes. Guard duty.

See you guys on Sunday.

aaaaaaooooooww

My left brow feels bruised. I wonder if it's possible to get hurt when you're lying face down on your pillow during sleep. If that theory's out then the only other assumption I can make is that someone punched me in the socket while I was unconscious. My head friggin' thumps everytime I make a sharp turn with my neck. Not feeling too comfortable as well, perhaps it's just a fever. A fever, you hear that, guys? Means Zouk's outta the question now.

Bummer.

apple prints

Again, due to foreseen circumstances, did two duties this week. Hmph, hardly makes a difference since I'm in the office every other day. And because of parade rehearsals, which I'm not involved in, this time round, makes the job a hell lot easier. Got to read in the papers about stuff happening outside this camp. Veteran policemen losing their lives in line of duty against illegal immigrants, sad. Snapped foreign student gunning down 32 people before macing his face, hmmm. Workers in China die after being engulfed by molten steel during spill, ouch. Funny, people die everyday and those who live don't care unless it's in a "special" way. No offence to all ghosts reading this, it's just human nature. -shrugs-

After fast-forwarding the week with my iPod, I found myself running in Simei. I really hate it when I suddenly surface from my dreamy state, ESPECIALLY while running. Brings the stamina down greatly. For me, at least. Gave up after passing my house twice and had some oily snacks before dropping by at Coldstream for a light lunch with some durian. Yummy. Down to town I go, almost zoning out in the train with the tunes of Gorillaz. Power of the Spicy Chilli Dog kept me up as I went shopping for boxers[okay, sounds gay, hot dogs and underwear...]. My Dad took my old ones. Ain't no way I'm taking them back. AND the shop gave me a transparent bag, thanks alot, fag... Walked by NUM and bumped into Zul, long time no see, now a salesman there. Ha. Chatted up fer a while before Willard popped by. Wonderfuckingful, a mini St. Patrick's reunion we had there. Cruised after trying and buying a top. Finally, a paper bag to hide my previous purchase.

We were stuck with Sunshine since Smokin' Aces was only available at late slots, wasn't the time for Wildhogs, Turistas was yet another gore flick and Nightmare Detective... Let's just say we didn't wanna think while reading subtitles, like in DeathNote[I'd like to blame those Prudential savings girls on the fact that we couldn't catch Smokin' Aces but unfortunately I can't rub it in their pretty faces]. Generally, I'm starting to dislike astronautical films. Majority of the small boys on Earth dream of growing up to be astronauts when they grow up, although, let's be realistic, they won't. And the occupation seems pretty prestigious. Somehow these twisted directors love to make everything in their space missions go wrong. Must've been pretty tough on lil' Mr. Sour Grapes when he found out NASA wouldn't except him. =/

Coupons for Burger King, yay. Their Double Cheeseburger's not half bad. It may have been around for a while but it's a new discovery for me. It's hard to notice when you've got something like a Mushroom Swiss. By now, you probably would have realised that I've mentioned food a handful of times in this post so feeling guilty, I forced The Man to walk with me to Bugis[we were in CineLeisure then] to check out that bar, Shanghai Jazz. At the same time, we accidentally found The Mint, that toy musuem we've been looking for a coupla weeks back... Yay, plans for next weekend already set. Too bad we won't be seeing those two recruits until May, ha. Sucks to be you guys! Best wishes for your field camp...

PS: Bah, D&D tomorrow... Should I take Monday off? ... Can I?

aljunied's wee lee studio is so much better

The predator slammed his prey onto his dining area... Eyeing his meal with intense hunger, all the four small shelled ones could do were look on as he starts to pry open their armour, one by one. The torns gave no hope in defending again their maker's large palms. The first victim revealed his vulnerable, foamy insides with yellow flesh. Pulling onto its body, its parts came off slowly and soon put into the consumer's mouth. He chewed it ferociously, as if getting back for those scratches from the green shields. Fate of the rest followed suit.

His pets finished whatever leftovers before leaving the carcasses at the disposal. Scavengers would arrive thereafter. Concluding the sad story of how four D24 durians mysteriously disappeared from the face of the earth.

PS: Yay, finally applied for my basic theory test for my driver's license.

sweet

Another typical Saturday afternoon. Wasted away my rest with C&C3 while munching on Sour Cream & Onion Pringles and downing carrot juice. My room's still in a mess but the tidying will have to wait... Gotta prepare to head out fer dinner soon. What should I wear tonight? Hmmm...

Yesterday was a half day. Buses[came late again] for the trip down to Taka. Some army roadshow. Was pretty cool. Might've stayed longer if weren't for the evaporating rainwater. Never thought I'd say this but I learnt a coupla things at the exhibits. Plus I bumped into Jemmo and Yazeed. MPs. Haha. And I got a free mini duffle bag.

Stoning at City Hall feels very... Comfortable. It was probably just the coffee place. We had to rest somewhere after hours of walking, from guitar browsing to riverside strolling.

On the whole, it's another good week. Excluding the loading of magazines incident.

Argh. Gotta practice "The Sharpest Lives" for tomorrow.

the island

Argh, I missed Rivermaya's performance and 251, the play. Sorry to YiQiang and BaoEn. My family had to hold an exaggerated farewell event for my little brother.

The trip to Tekong today sure brought back memories. Took the tour for civilians with my parents, grandma and aunt Susan. So, this was what they did "behind the scenes" the last time round... Pfft. From the address to the oath-taking, I smirked as I thought what raced through the new enlistees' minds. Guess they'll be doing fine, though, buncha Scorpions...

Chatted a 'lil with Boon before getting back on the Penguin. Packed the best roti john back with me. Hehe...

What a short day. Alright, back to the show. The Homecoming rocks.

PS: Shit, I hate haircuts. 5 more months...

crazy taxi

That was one drunk-ass cabbie.

"Eh boy, they buildin' a condo here?"
"Uh, not sure, uncle..."
"Dunno eh, then shut up lah."
"WTF?"

"Going to Jalan Angin Laut?"
"Yeah, all the way straight."
"ALL THE WAY STRAIGHT???"
"... All the way."
-VROOOOOM-
"WTF?"

"Wah, hot girl."
-honk-
"WTF?"

D&D tonight was an awfully hilarious session, we got turned into animals. Hey, at least I was a lynx.

Jamming was slammin'. If I had a cent for every time I went through Zombie today, I'd probably have more than a dollar... I almost sang my tonsils out too.

Well, time for some C&C3 again. The comrades are waiting.

cowabunga dude

Recently, I've been watching alot of movies. I mean, A LOT. Handful per week. This week was TMNT and Midnight Sun. Seeing the turtles back in action was pretty exciting, obviously critics wouldn't be impressed by the film, comparing it to present CG animation. Still, they're childhood icons. Guess you could say I was pretty disappointed that Donatello didn't exactly play a big part in the movie. But who'd noticed with such a highlight; Raphael VS Leonardo. Fans know their rivalry and that scene was purely intense. One thing I didn't exactly fancy was how the Foot soldiers suspiciously looked inspired by Spiderman's image... Okay, maybe it's too much of a review. Hey, I was a fanatic, okay? Camp was a bore today. So I caught the latter flick in the mess. How emotional. I just love these kinda stories... Gets you all choked up. Don't laugh. I'll choke you.

Wonder what songs we'll be jamming this week. Hopefully some soft ones, that'll be good. Going all My Chemical Romance isn't exactly a breeze. I should copy some lyrics but I'm busy with Tiberium Wars. Guess that trip to the toy museum'll have to hold as well... =P

PS: Oh dear, I have committed gluttony. Gotta find a cure. Gotta find a cure. Gotta restart my running regime.

.....

Oh yeah, have yet to pick out a sexy civilian running attire.

krrrrrrrrrrrryptonite

Finally got my Command & Conquer 3 Timberium Wars Kane Edition. No regrets on the GDI t-shirt. Although the NOD forces have Josh Holloway.

Thanks to the game, I haven't worked out since Friday. Oh sinful me.

-pinches waist blubber-

Nor have I washed my hair.

no fools

Again I start of the post by summing up the week at work. I take my words back about the week before. Last week was officially the longest. Monday was horrible. Thanks to foreseen poor administration, prep for field camp was murder. No time to shower before moving out to deployment ground. No sleep for three consecutive days. No handphone. But hey, who's complaining? That's all behind me now. Believe it, it's finally here. The end of a phase. Field camps no more. Can you smell it? I can. Pink. Fuck the number 23. Pink's a good color. The color of freedom. The colour of my IC. Be counting the days before you return to my pocket, baby. 6 months? Pfft. A breeze.

Didn't have time to slack in the mess... They had good movies. Damn. Well, they always have good movies. A 3 day work week coming up's gonna be heaven. No pun intended for it's gonna be Good Friday. Heh, more bookout days to spend. I've been getting the hang of the action in the civilian world recently, wonder if it's in my horoscope or something... Never really spent time like that before. I used to be really boring, ya know... Haha. Humble.

Eyes irritate from contact lenses, should get used to them, I'm too much of a specky. Tried to look good, was supposed to go fer an interview fer some modelling company that approached us a week ago, lost sight as soon as a I got on the train, couldn't be bothered with these things... Still, the guys might've had some plans fer this evening, Double O being the usual plan. But we didn't today, of course, not some buncha Michaelangelos jumping about at parties. Ah, didn't get to catch TMNT, thanks to Boon the recruit. Anyway Khai had a date on so we caught Jim Carrey's flick instead. Don't get me started. Okay, I'll start anyway. My birthday. March, 11, 2007. 3+11+2+7=23. Lol. SO? But it was helluvan exciting thriller, have to say.

The usual LED[I know it's lame, but I remember cliques like that by stupid names; this one's Louis Eugene Dan] stuff we did, check out comics, play pool, occasionally bumping into celebrities; eg. Felicia Chin at Cathay's Starbucks today. Haha. The guys try too hard to spur the outings, tend to wanna end the day in flashy ways. So I brought them to Cosafe to feed their testosterone, where Boon could ogle at French-maid-costume clad teenage girls serving us mushroom linguine and peach milkshakes. Like Hooters, for anime freaks. Ah it was just fer the moment, though. No kicks minutes after the ref blew the whistle on Liverpool's ownage against Arsenal. No pun again. =P So anyway it was pretty funny to see this two Caucasian closet Blackburn fans sitting in the front... T'was a damn good headstart fer'em but, urm, the Devils were better. Haha. Burn them roses. If you haven't already realised, I was there fer food and soccer. However, it maybe because of our waitress, Kate. Hehehe.

Night ended well. =) Gonna turn in. Feel like a run in the morn before teasing the tummy with a feast from my cousin's birthday.

traded activities

I wonder if I'm trying too hard... Filling in slots after work for movies, pool, parties and dates. Looking back, the first quarter sure has been pretty happening. More outdoorsy.

Haven't had time fer the keyboard and manga though. Ah, the old timekillers...

Thursday, March 15, 2007

sofa so good

March seems really enjoyable, been getting progressive influence of the cilivian world as the weekends pass. Still in post-clubbing mindset, I guess. Gosh, I'm turning into a party dude. Hmmm, that's actually not bad.

Another 15 days to go before I mark the end of another phase in my army life. Having completed my IPPT and SOC, all that's left is some field camp you guys just probably won't care about... And then it's sitting in the office growing hair while recruits like Khai and Boon run their asses off on that island.

And a sudden random thought: Why is it when you seat on a chair for long, get off and seat back in, you don't feel your butt heat but when you switch seats with someone else who's been sitting as long as you have, you totally feel his/her hot ass print?

Sunday, March 11, 2007

Met long lost cousin. Double O awesomeness. Hangover. Catered lunch. Presents. Cake. Cha Soba. VCDs. I'm 21!

A week to 21. What am I to do? Have got nothing planned. Isn't it supposed to be a big birthday? =(

back here again

The last week resulted with the new knowledge of poker and mahjong. The price to pay for it was my luck for Black Jack. I officially suck at it now, no one in this world could have a worse hand than me.

Hmmm. Then came the fever and the stiff neck. Very uncomfortable week.

Glad that's all over now. Got my new spectacles. Army life has been real slack recently. Plus, my bro got four As for his... As. Cool.

PS: My birthday's next week and no plans as yet. Holy Crap.

Dear Aunties,

The Lunar New Year's the time fer Black Jack, not match-making. So please stop shoving you family friends' daughters in my arms.

hours to reunion dinner

Valentine's was just another day. Went shopping with parents instead, which was a disaster, socially. Try getting yer dad to embarrass you in front of cute chics.

But what I'm really upset about is the loss of my trademark metallic red framed spectacles. Now, I'm wearing this dumb makeshift pair. With my new haircut, it makes me look like Ryu disguised as Clark Kent.

Go with the contacts. Definitely.

alternate liftestyle

That was one helluva crazy field camp. One word: sandy. My lungs are probably coated with more layers than the Earth's crust. Gotta admit, t'was pretty damn fun. I saw apaches. With cocky pilots that taunted us with their propellers. And snipers. That got chased by wild boars. Mission ended earlier than schedule and we were back at camp in no time, as usual. It sure pays to have superiors who prefer being around pillars rather than trees.

A last minute assignment of duty on Friday. Great. Just when I had to book out. At least I'm done with that and there goes my ratio for this month, ha, guard duty on the 21st cancelled! Woot. Would've been anyway fer me, Daddy's birthday. Breezed through and reached home Saturday morning, had to meet Ben and gang fer Apocalypto. All were late, sure, back in civi-mode. Took a train down with Shawn and grabbed a quick bite at LJS before buying the tix with Seah. Awesome movie. Hmmm. Doubt I'd be able to run fer consecutive nights to save my ass. And the baby jaguar was damn cute, by the way. Kama, who seemed awfully fine for someone who got 4 stitches dead center of the scalp caused by a falling rock, and Bear joined us after the flick, when we starting strolling aimlessly along central Singapore. Settled with pool as a time killer before heading fer the concluding venue, Double O.

Oh. My. God. Never in my life had I a clubbing experience so damn happening. Retro night. Met the others and got the party started. Apparently, late is still early for the night scene. It was still empty when we got there, which was kinda annoying because we were only given a tiny table for 12 army guys to share because the most of the area was reserved. Oh well. The drinking games began. Lost once and had to give my number away. Who knew I would've gotten a reply the next day? Thanks, Selena. =) Possessed by vodka and progressively letting loose, I reached that "oh-I-think-I-should-stop-now" level. The group were blabbering on about another place to go to so I put them in a cab and sent them there, then took my own taxi home. Okay, almost gone. I couldn't figure out which key opened my lock. Took me about 2 minutes to get into my house. Dropped as soon as I saw my bed.

Good Morning, Louis. You still have yer contact lenses on. Yeah, took you long enough to notice. Take'em off and go eat the chicken rice Daddy bought. Thank goodness my parents were busy gardening or they would have definitely sent me to the doctor's for laughing at myself while eating as I thought about last night. Tried to shake off the little vibe still clinging on, washed up and was out. Needed to get stuff fer CNY fast. Unfortunately, the result was a pair of grey berms and a pink polo from Bugis. No time. Gotta book back in. Probably do some last minute on V-Day. So, advanced warning to you loser girls out there, stop shoving baskets of roses in my face, I'm not buying them.

PS: I love it when people pluck dance moves from the 70s-80s.

Haven't read the monthly horoscope yet but I bet my one goes a 'lil something like this:

"Brace yerself. February's gonna hurt."

journalized

Thought I could have gotten a little bit of rest when my hardcore Vanna White-fashioned guard duty ended on the morning of Wednesday. Fell out straight back to bunk to get a nice cold and soapy shower before walking into the Diet Coke of Hell. No sleep. Work was murder with eleventh hour updates on logistics, which literally almost got me killed. Although I can't help but think that if it were anyone else, they would already not be breathing. Know me, love fronting upon stress, left for the cafeteria to enjoy some nice fried bee hoon and a bowl of iced aloe vera with longans. Settlement of administrative matters definitely are much easier to down with the absence of tension, however, it was taken into hands by the powers that be. 0_0 Adding to the suck level, with the rather horrible office day just about over, my sergeant major walks up in my face, casually bearing bad news that he usually does, about training. What's with this camp and it's habitual system of sudden change in activities? For you guys out there, don't go, "It's the army, dammit." because stuff like that is planned, for real y'all. Okay... I'm not one to bitch but it was night's out. A simple compromise for postponing would suffice IF I hadn't already promised Greg and gang to meet up... Well, either way, I wasn't gonna stay back for some dumb training, haha.

Fast forward to Orchard Emerald. Took a train down to Somerset to meet Greg, Varian and Gayle fer dinner. Exactly have no idea what blinded me from the choice of beautiful hotdogs they sold up to date, the Spicy Chilli Dog shall be my new usual fer MOS Burger. Jalapenos. Mmmm. Nadine and her friend Carrie joined us later on to check out -gasp- PARADIGM INFINITUM! The guys nicknamed it Geek Central and I soon found out why. Wasn't really a sad place to be in but it'd creep some girls out. Many grown men living out board games as realistically as Neo and Morpheus having sparring sessions. The sex shop Condomillion, just one floor below, would've had a more comfortable vibe. Bought a set of blue/gold dice. From PI, that is, not the rubber dick stall. We browsed quite a bit while waiting for Kev, who met us around HMV and we visited Borders. Phased through the various sections where I became the butt of all King jokes. Har har. -_-

It's always nice to at least hang around some part of town especially since I've been cooped up indoors recently. McCafe was perfect fer the smokers. Sat and chatted about stuff from school to TV serials till it was time to disperse fer home in cabs, which I took with Kev and Greg. Noticed a coupla changes around the house, being gone only a few days. The 'rents did a good job getting the front garden renovated, though it's still in progress. Was too tired to enjoy the new shelter and crawled up onto my room. Dunno where the extra energy comes from to turn on the computer but I did anyway so I could read up rules on D&D, which drained me totally. Napped for the return trip to camp this morning, probably the first time I drooled in the car. Practically was dragging my ass around subconsciously with constant replenishment from cans of 100 PLUS.

Spent the day deciphering a fucking long list of codewords for the upcoming exercise on hard copies, with running conversations of the most unsporting soccer match this year... Really. Not. Fun. It was sort of payback for the screw up yesterday, I guess. Karma. So at least I left the compound with a good weight of my shoulders. Another train buddy today. Johnathan. Yay. Okay. Hardo Gay.

Finally, back at Simei. Dinner with Mommy and Daddy. Then shopped for tidbits to prepare for outfield, heh. Got myself a huge basket. Maybe a little too much. Felt like therapy. Felt good. Until I saw the salesman on his iGallop.

PS: EastPoint now has Long John Silver's. One less reason to leave the neighbourhood. ^_^

omoshiro momoshiro

Little Lulu's going to be a busy bee this week, or two.

Another duty at the gates in the morning of tomorrow. And I'm sure all you grasshoppers know that this drone's gonna be working hard this weekend. With stuff, is all I can say. Not like you'd care with the small talk. Pfft. However, I don't really feel so bad about it and although some of you are familiar with my laid-back attitude, sure are in a state of shock with my feelings toward the current situation. Frankly, I would like to state that I now realise how comfortable I am with my job scope... I've come to the understanding that when an individual is in a place of work, why be so hard on yourself with all the dislike about unvoluntary action when you can make yerself feel at home? -the aspiring hero folds his arms as eyes squint into the setting sun, breeze in the hair and a gracefully lifted cape- Muaha.

Or it could be that I'm now entitled to a day's off every alternate week. Given. Sweet, 'innit? Heh.

PS: Beginner's luck. D&D as a Frenchy with a 69 finisher before book-in. Le awezame.

got concrete?

Watching the sunrise doesn't sound as cool as it does in the movies... Especially when you're stuck in a ride lacking air-conditioning with a one-liner captain along cemetry backyards, sand in yer teeth, plus enough of it in yer hair to equivalently rival at least 3-star strength Gatsby wax with zero shine, layers of cooling powder coated on the skin with sweat collected over 48 hours, repellant-resistant mosquitos pricking through raw make-up to literally suck face, listening to a radio that only broadcasts voices of husky corporals, dimsum effect in the boots and munching on dusty apricot energy bars.

Hey, I'm not complaining. It's just the sunrise part. Painfully slow... -_-

On the whole, I pretty much have to comment that this exercise went rather smoothly. It ended with the "Hey that wasn't so bad, eh? Plus with finished the missions a day and a half earlier than schedule!" reaction. You could say we all feel like a buncha old birds now. There was a sense of nostalgia as I passed the old training grounds into deployment. Sounds pretty sad on the surface, heck, most of you wouldn't know what in the world I'm blabbering about anyway. Of course, after every field camp, it's just tradition to do a minor civilian conversion course. Call it incentive. You'd die if you stay in.

Now I'm free from the 106 guys and 2 girls, time capsule closes again on Sunday night.

Oh yeah, let's dance.

'tis the season to be omfgolly

Guess who's back, oh yeah. Ecstatic, I am. Tired as well. So. Many. Full. Stops. Short bursts. Zzzz.

-ahem-

Tanned from duty. Wet from training. And the forecast states that I'll be missing out on alot of civilian action fer da next three months due to outfield activities. Heh, finally like a soldier. So shut yer pieholes, guys.

Anyway, this is it. Despite the fact that I'm gonna burn my birthday, my heart floats everytime I think that after March, I've already got one foot out the army. And...

Fuck lah, this dick behind me is watching standup comedy at full volume so I can't think straight. Will post again soon, friends. -_-

all is well

After a week of financial losses, a bruised nose and broken thumb, plus a coupla abrasions, I was able to kick back and enjoy handicapped PS2 versusing. After which a Merc cab happened to pass by and fetch me home to my sleep-in Sunday morning. It's still raining. But I'm going out. It's my first D'n'D session.

PS: I got converted. zomg l33t!!!!!11

woe is me

I think I did more rolling today than Dan Hibiki, Duck King and Blanka did combined in their lifetimes. And while I'm typing this, my brain is still stimulating endless spins. It was crazy but progressive training has given me the ability to do a decent Crack Shoot. In a way. Hmm. After lunch, it was some taste of reality. Well, I volunteered to be the detainee in my group as I took on two guys. After more than one god damned looong minute, I gave in in fear of my nose getting flattened. Of course, anywhere, but the face. Nothing much on that, today was all training, training, training. Heh, come tomorrow, it's actual sparring. At least that's what they call it, with those red and blue cushioned helmets and those bolster stick thingies. Woot.

Too bad a little fun has to be balanced with spoilers. I'm totally cutting off non-CNY gambling. Forever. Time to be thrifty.

PS: Well whaddya know? A heartache REALLY IS much more painful than a body ache.

how credible is yer mom

What a ticklish day. Never have I giggled so much from being choked. I thought pretty much that most of the applied moves today was crap. Alot of Puttyman action, like in Power Rangers, with the "ah-yuuuh!" here and the "haiyaah!" there. On the other hand, well, actually both(pardon the pun), ooh the sore forearms. T_T

I actually felt like staying in today. Planned to watch The Arena, in which I did. Awesome local series. Reminds me of my sharp-tongued days back in secondary school. Totally laughed my ass off with the wittyness. Some'a da kids actions were pretty cute, what funky humour. Haha.

Hmmm, nothin' much fer now. Just felt like giving you guys the lowdown on what my army life is like. And now if ya don't mind, I'd very much like to log off and stroll to the gates as the delivery man should be here with my Chicken Foldover very soon.

Cheers. ^_^

predictable

The past two days mark my first stay-home weekend of the year. At least it came out productive, well, in a way. Wikipedia got me sittin' on my hot ass the entire day, reading up on stuff from rules of volleyball to Godzilla. Which brings me to a matter on the latter for all you old-school fans out there. Mothra, right? In case you have no idea that is, that's one of the radiated iguana's rivals. As suggests, it's a friggin' humungous moth. It was a larvae once and silked itself to the Eiffel Tower. Now, it's probably because I've watched too much Discovery Channel and am debating against the natural animalistic mentality of finding secure housing as much as how my little brother bitched on about how DeathNote would deem impossible to exist due to some omnipotent scientific theory. But. If you were a giant larvae, and you're ready to evolve into a legendary Metapod, would you anchor yourself on something that cannot carry your weight(Paris' Eiffel Tower, in this situation)? Oooh, it's not that, mister, I just wanted to knock something over... Heh, I will never understand kaiju movies. Yeah, I still watch them, don't judge me. It's fer the laughs.

I only remembered this morning that this week has a close combat crash course scheduled fer us. Learnt a bit on reversal moves today. Waste of time. OMG I'm starting to talk like my favourite kobudo fighting game character!

so exciting

By the time I write my own version of "The 12th Day Of Christmas", it'd be over. So I'll just go easy.

The first week of the year has been might fine. Sure throws the whole boring phase out the window. Ha, the first working day was awfully dramatic... Full of guys signing extras and more. I dare say, damn happening. Lol. I won't go deeper into it 'cos you guys obviously wouldn't understand. But on the surface, sure seems like everyone misses work.

Today, the company cohesion. Apparently the men had organised sort of an Amazing Race type competition(when I won a Topman gift card, yay). And we had to complete as many stations as possible in 1 and a half hours. We ran fast, we saw chics, we had fun. However, Sentosa does not have much life on weekdays, Fridays inclusive. We did feed our sugar-hungry eyes, though. Boob-infested private pools. And stuff... Haha. *ahem* I learnt how to play volleyball, still a newb but not a noob. Heterosexually commenting, it was one of the most enjoyable male-bonding session. Pure, loud and rough army guy fun. The way to let loose. Time sure flies when you're acting like an idiot, owning the beach with hysterical laughs and thrash-talking. Dunno why I wasn't much of a sun-and-sand guy... All called it a day after 7 hours of ultraviolet soaking, only with croissants and potatoes in our tummies.

The wave didn't end there. Met up with Khai and Dhaniah over at Bugis fer dinner, Eugene joining us later. The King of Lateness got a job. AT THE ARCADE, of all places. OMG so cliche. For a hardcore gamer. The news still tickles me, man. XD

PS: Aaah, the little home of the Merlion hasn't totally been reconstructed but it'll sound kinda fun to go explore one of these days. Didn't get to check out much with our jockey behaviour this afternoon. Reminds me of the old days of vodka-fuelled campfires in Siloso. Would be nice to relive it soon. After all, my new year's resolution is simple: Keep it fun and easy. If things go wobbly, just take it like a bitch. =)

zero seven

Happy New Year, peeps.

Today marks the first "bumming indoor" day of the year. The post-party vibe has depleted and I've gotta book in tonight, based on "special instructions".

Okay, so there was still a party at Sentosa. Curse advertising. I shall not believe in the local media anymore. "Ooooh, come to VivoCity, organising partner of the main countdown party in association with MediaCorp!", puhlease. Well, I didn't exactly regret it but I missed a beach party. Oh well... We arrived fashionably late, although not for the countdown. Johnathan and Hady were up giving their wishes before Matilda went up to sing. Ugh. Singapore Idols and Project Superstars. It's no wonder the place was crowd-free. Then K-Fed... I mean, Gurmit Singh appeared. At least the previous Miss Singapores made my day. Wow, man-eaters. Applying the skill of elusion and agility, we jumped the fence for a closer look at the yummies. Heh. Loser policemen.

It wasn't that big a deal on my standards on the whole, but hey, 2007, mofo. I can feel it. I can touch it. Civilian life. -twinkle-
